Welcome to moviediva!
Moviediva provides thoughtful film writing, with reviews containing biographical and production details, critical opinion from old and new sources, photos from out of print sources and a collection of vintage movie-star scrapbooks and the moviediva's own definite point of view.
The North Carolina Museum of Art Fall Film series will be short as the auditorium is renovated. There will only be two screenings, Singin' in the Rain on November 13, and Citizen Kane on November 20, 2015.
My most recent radio show with Frank Stasio and Marsha Gordon on WUNC's "The State of Things" discusses the career of Alfred Hitchcock. Listen here: http://wunc.org/post/movies-radio-alfred-hitchcock#stream/0.
If you have a question or comment, or wish to be added to the North Carolina Museum of Art's Film Series e-mail notification list, you may Ask the moviediva. Consult moviediva, jr., for the opinions of a teen diva-in-training. She's graduated from college and working in New York City in theatrical costume, but her youthful opinions are archived here! Here is a Movie Quote of the Month archive. Here is an archive of most of the NCMA Cinema series schedules.
